There are no studies in Canada around women in our industry. We’re asking why.

The first national survey of women working in Canadian real estate. Your experience, finally on the record.

The data doesn't exist. Yet.

Women are at the heart of Canadian real estate, yet almost no Canadian research describes how we experience the work. We can't even agree on how many of us there are. Other countries have been measuring this for years. We haven't started.

Right now, nobody can answer:

  • How safe women feel at showings and open houses
  • How often clients harass or dismiss women agents
  • How self-employed women manage parental leave, illness and retirement
  • How much of our work goes unpaid or uncredited
  • What support women would actually use

Without data, nothing changes. With it, boards, brokerages and policymakers can finally act.

What we're building

A short, anonymous national survey, shared through real estate boards from coast to coast, followed by a free public report.

This form isn't the survey. We use your details only to contact you about this study and never share them. The survey itself will be completely anonymous.

Questions

Who can take the survey?

Any woman working in Canadian real estate, including REALTORS®, managing brokers, team members and assistants, in every province and territory.

Will my answers be anonymous?

Yes. The survey won't collect names, and results are only ever reported as totals. The sign-up form on this page is separate. We use it only to tell you when the survey opens.

Who is behind this study?

The Canadian Women in Real Estate Foundation (CWIRE), a B.C. nonprofit society dedicated to advancing women into decision-making roles in Canadian real estate. We're inviting real estate boards and university researchers to join as partners.

Does it cost anything?

No. Taking part is free, and so is the final report.

When will the survey open?

We expect to open the survey in 2027. Everyone who signs up above will hear first.

Represent a board, brokerage or university?

We'd love to talk about partnering on the study.
